C. Booze Gets Two, Dickman One in LM Action

For the first time ever at Redmen Raceway, Dirt Late Models (cast by 4 1/2 Star Bodies) took to the high banks, and the results were spectacular.  All three mains were the most competitive of the season, with none decided by more than one lap.

Christian Booze is all concentration, Randy Dickman is all relaxed...

In the first event of the night (TrackMate Championship Format), Christian Booze and Lee Booze both collected 25 points over four lanes, but the younger took the win on the tiebreaker.  Ryan Missler finished third by proxy (as if the PRI show was more important than race night! ed.).  Randy Dickman, Justin Liskai and John Warren rounded out the field.

Doubling Up...

Ryan Missler (pictured left), goes to the PRI Show and still comes out the point leader, JW and Justin (right) can only laugh at the injustice!

Randy Dickman finally cracked the winner's circle this season.

The second event of the night, a 25 lap per lane event, yielded one of the closest finishes in recent memory at RR.  When the power turned off for the final time four drivers sat tied with 92 laps.  Despite being handicapped one get-in per lane, Christian prevailed for the second time on the evening.  Finishing second was John Warren, third, Lee Booze and fourth Randy Dickman all on the leap lap.  a ghost-like Ryan Missler and Justin Liskai finished up the race.

No this crash wasn't staged...weird...

Going into the third main of the night, all eyes were on Christian Booze who was looking to clean up on the hardware for the evening.  But the raceway handicap system proved too tough as the double winner crashed out on lane 4 nixing his chances at the sweep.  Randy Dickman drove a clean race, crashing only once in four lanes to grab the nightcap with 89 laps in the 60 sec per lane event.  John Warren finished second, half a lap ahead of Lee Booze.  Justin Liskai, a transparent Ryan Missler and Christian Booze rounded out the race.

The vintage mods were on display in the infield.  A new class for RR?

Thursday 12-14-17, Redmen Raceway will host "World 100" night celebrating the historic event at Eldora Speedway.  Racing starts at 7pm.
