Ryan Missler and Lee Booze have taken the lion’s share of plaques out of Redmen Raceway early in the 2024-25 season with Missler notching five wins and Booze four at the break. One of Missler’s wins was shared by Randy Dickman, in what was determined by track officials as a tie in the October 23 X-traction Street Stock main.
Variety is the spice of life may be the slogan for the
season so far as far racing classes go, with no kind of car being raced twice
yet this year. However, it might be
same-old-same-old, as Missler and Booze have taken all the wins save the rare
Missler-Dickman stalemate.
New this year is the Dragstrip at Redmen Raceway. For the first time in the 25+ year history a
straight-line event was held on the Auto World based two-lane blacktop. In single round eliminations, Bryan Scott
went down in history as the first ever winner in the Auto World funny car
event.
The season actually kicked off at Leon’s Hot Wheel Barn with
the “Fall Brawl” for AFX+ Supermodifieds which also included at kids race and
drag race on the Hot Wheels Orange Strip at the Barn.
Jake Armstrong started the afternoon rolling by taking down
Lee Booze in the double elimination drag event. Jaxson and Elsie Armstrong took the kids oval and drag races respectively. After Bryan Scott, Lee Booze, Randy Dickman
and Ryan Missler took the heat race wins, Christian Booze grabbed the last
feature starting spot winning the B Main.
When the dust settled Ryan Missler took home the Fall Brawl trophy.
