Booze Takes Opening Night Hardware

The twentieth season of racing at Redmen Raceway kicked off with a trio of events featuring Tyco LM's, Big Block Modifieds and Sprint Cars.  After the dust settled track owner Lee Booze came out on top with two wins and the early season points lead.

First up was a "Championship Points" event for late models, with each segment offering passing points for four segments total.  Randy Dickman emerged victorious on the back of two segment wins.  Lee Booze picked up one segment win and two seconds for the runner up spot.  John Warren grabbed a segment win and runner up to round out the podium.

The second main of the night was a 4x20 lap affair for Tyco Big Block Modifieds.  Lee Booze squeezed out a one lap win over Ryan Missler, based largely by picking up a lap on the high side blue lane.  Randy Dickman rounded out the top three, three laps in arrears.

The final race of the evening featured the winged Tyco Sprint cars racing in an unusual split two lanes low, two lanes high track configuration (ed. note: since we don't have a Donny Schatz car painted up, there is no car that can roll the middle like Donny...).  After four segments of 60 seconds each, Lee Booze again picked up the win over Ryan Missler and John Warren.

shows up...)

Lou got upside down, but Tim McCreadie got the worst of it, that might a distance record at RR... (see finger)
This is just a pic of BG hockey to remind everyone its winter...or how about hockey and slot cars?
