Thursday Weather...A Royal Pain?

"We are monitoring the situation and will make the best decision possible for our competitors and fans."  That was the statement released Tuesday afternoon by Redmen Raceway owner/promoter Lee Booze concerning the predicted weather for Thursday night's Tiny Kings Royal sprint car event.

The track owner added, "Obviously we want to get the show in, but we want to take into account those who travel to compete here at our facility.  We will make a final decision around noon on Thursday as to the status of the event.  Luckily we have an open date on our schedule for such a possibility and we can use it if need be."

Last year's Royal went Justin Liskai, who earlier in the week indicated he was hoping to defend that title, taking a step back from weekly racing in 2019-20.  "We want to give all our racers a shot at the crown," said Booze, "but we also want to use common sense in trying to get the show in."

Stay tuned as the week progresses for further updates from the Speedway office.
