Missler Opens Up Points Lead With Solid Start To New Year

The 2018 portion of the slot car racing season opened up with a change on top of two different leader boards.  Ryan Missler took over the points standings lead, and Lee Booze climbed on top of the all time win list.

Lee's Birthday Bash on January 10 was first up featuring three races for the Tyco Modifieds.  Lee Booze started his birthday race in the right way picking up the Championship Points style event over Ryan Missler and Christian Booze.  Randy Dickman, Justin Liskai and John Warren trailed.

Ryan Missler took the 25 lap/4 lane main over John Warren and Randy Dickman.  Lee Booze, Christian Booze, Lillian Missler and Justin Liskai rounded out the field.

Randy Dickman captured the nightcap, a 4 lane/60 second per lane race.  Ryan Missler picked up his third podium of the night and was joined by Lee Booze in third.  John Warren, Christian Booze, Lillian Missler and Justin Liskai rounded out the field and the night.

On January 17, the racers returned to kick off the Sprint Car portion of the season running the Fremont Speedway Jim Ford Classic.  For the second week in a row Lee Booze picked up the opening, points style, main event.  Ryan Missler continued his good run as of late finishing second, with John Warren third.  Randy Dickman, Christian Booze and Justin Liskai finished up fourth through sixth.

Missler found his way to victory lane in the second 25 lap/4 lane event. Christian Booze and Justin Liskai cracked the podium for the first time in 2018 with a solid second and third.  Lee Booze, John Warren and Randy Dickman trailed.

Lee Booze got another in the finale, topping the new points leader Ryan Missler.  John Warren filled out the podium slots.  Justin Liskai wrapped up a strong night with a fourth and Randy Dickman and Christian Booze rounded out the race.

Racing returns on January 31 for the second all sprint car night of the season.  Doors open at 6:30pm, racing at 7pm.
