Liskai, Warren Win, JW Vaults to Points Lead!

It was a busy night at Redmen Raceway on January 11.  Between the extra large food table, discussions of Mansfield dirt transformation, the Chili Bowl and Carl Edwards retirement, there was hardly time to race!

But once the power came on, the action was intense.  In the Sprint Car main, Justin Liskai handled the Brad Doty Coors Light machine to perfection to notch his third career win (and second that car) at RR.  Randy Dickman edged out John Warren for second only one lap behind.  Ryan Missler was only a couple of wrecks from contending finishing in fourth.  Bruce Minier, making a rare appearance from Parkwood Motor Speedway in Strongsville rounded out the top five.  The Birthday boy Lee Booze filled with bday cake finished sixth and the Flyin' Fireman Brian Ackerman came home seventh.

In the Modified night capper, John Warren ran away with a three lap win in the Billy Pauch #1.  Warren's double podium night boosted him to the top of the table in the season-long points battle.  Justin Liskai backed up his Sprint win with a fine performance in the Billy Decker 91 for second.  Randy Dickman came home third in the Tremont 115.  Rounding out the field was Lee Booze, Ryan Missler, Brian Ackerman and Bruce Minier.

On a side note, as of last weekend Redmen Raceway picked a Goodyear tire deal.  While it was roundly criticized in the pit area, the promotional staff instructed the racers to suck it up and race.  The rash of accidents was roundly blamed on the new tires.  Nobody heard the winners complaining though...

Tire sales were brisk on the first day for Goodyear...
