Seven racers stepped up to the high banks of Redmen Raceway Wednesday night and coming away winners were Christian Booze (Sprints) and Randy Dickman (Modifieds).
In the Sprint main event. Christian Booze held off Ryan Missler by one lap 111 to 110 with a spirited run for the Jim Linder vintage plaque. Randy Dickman and Justin Liskai battled for third with Dickman edging out Liskai by less than half a lap. Lee Booze, John Warren and Scott Ackerman were really just lapped traffic in the way. For the second week in a row Liskai set quick time with s 2.335 clocking.
The Mod Squad event was a raucous affair. With numerous crashes, stops, starts, and no go's the outcome was in doubt throughout the event. When the smoke cleared it was Randy Dickman edging out Scott Ackerman by half a lap. Ryan Missler finished third one lap behind. John Warren and Lee Booze rounded out the top five. Christian Booze and Justin Liskai fought to avoid the cellar. In qualifying John Warren topped the field with 2.305 lap.
In the evening's finale, Justin Liskai prevailed in a crash and burn vintage event featuring John Warren's 1940 Tyco Ford Coupes. Somehow we didn't get a picture of that event.
Redmen Raceway will take two weeks off before returning on 12-9 (Fremont HoF Night) and 12-16 (Super DIRT Week).
