Fall races creates tight points battle...

With only race left (World 100 this Wednesday) before the holiday break, three racers are within ten points of each other at Redmen Raceway.  While the points standings reflects points before the three-drop rule, nevertheless it points to the making of one of the most competitive seasons at RR in quite some time.

Two "regular" shows closed out November.  On 11-14 Ryan Missler took the first two mains of the night (Mods, Sprints) and Randy Dickmann closed out the evening with a Late Model victory.

Fred can never catch a break...

Warren 2, Missler 1 on Opening Night!

Veteran H.O. racer John Warren leaned on decades of experience to outrun the competition on opening night at Redmen Raceway.  The ageless controller-holder grabbed both the Sprint and Modified mains to jump out to an early lead in the season-long points chase.  Ryan Missler, a perennial favorite at RR appropriately captured the Late Model feature.

For the 2019-2020 season, Redmen Raceway scheduled a slate of "regular shows" consisting of Tyco Sprint Car, Late Model and Modified events rotating between championship-points, laps-per-lane and time-per-lane features.  Each division will be contested in each scoring discipline twice during the season.  Special events will be held as well under various formats.

The Sprint Cars were first up on opening night running a 6 lane round-robin event with each heat awarding "passing points".  The overall winner was determined by points accumulated in the six heats.  When the dust settled, it went to a tie breaker (heats won) and John Warren won out over Ryan Missler as both acummulated 29 points.  Warren's two heat wins put him over the edge.  Rich Leisecki rounded out the podium, a good start for the sophomore driver.

Thanks to the Outlaws, we know how to get a car out of this predicament!

Late Models were up next and the cars, with no traction magnets, found the drivers searching for the right feel for the squirrelly machines.  After numerous cautions, Ryan Missler came away with the win swapping spots with John Warren.  Randy Dickman came home third.

Dickman Takes Two, Booze One to round out the regular season

Cold and flu season and the coming racing season collided this past week to put a dent in the car count for the final points night at Redmen Raceway.  A scant four drivers took to their controllers for an abbreviated night of racing.

Randy Dickman captured the late model and modified mains and Lee Booze won the sprint car night capper.  In the season-long points battle none of it mattered as absent Ryan Missler sewed up the championship after the three drops were factored in.

Missler Stopped at Six! Liskai Wins Second Straight Kings' Royal!

The 2019 edition of the 1/64th scale Kings Royal featured an eventful night of racing.  The evening started off with John Warren putting a stop to Ryan Missler's win streak and ended with Justin Liskai grabbing his second King's Royal crown in as many years.

John Warren gets the bounty!

Eight racers signed in for a night in celebration of the "Big E" Eldora Speedway.  The warm up act was 6 lane x 20laps championship points race for "Eldora Stocks" to get everyone in the racing mood.  When the dust settled John Warren took down Ryan Missler for the first time in the new year.  Warren picked up the mystery bag "bounty" filled with 50y Missler Racing merchandise (Thanks Ryan!).  Ryan almost kept the streak going, finishing runner up to Warren.  Justin Liskai finished third.

Next up was the "Joker's Wild" prelim event for sprint cars.  The six lane x 25 laps event was taken by track owner Lee Booze over Justin Liskai and John Warren.

The final event of the night was the annual "Little" King's Royal.  Liskai, moved up one more spot on the podium in the finale, taking his second straight King's Royal crown, getting revenge for his heartbreaking World 100 defeat.  Ryan Missler rebounded for second with John Warren rounding out a solid night for third.

Missler Wins 6th Straight, Goes to Top of All Time Win List...

He may be a Late Model racer in the summer, but Ryan Missler has mastered open wheeled racing on the 1/64th scale.  Missler swept the annual Chili Bowl Nationals for H.O. Midgets winning all three mains, vaulting him to the top of the Redmen Raceway all-time win list.

Here come the Midgets!

Seven drivers signed in to do battle in the brand new AFX powered 3D printed Chili Bowl Midgets.  Ryan Missler took the first main with 25 points over Lee Booze and Rich Lesiecki tying for second with 23 points each.

In race two it was Missler again topping Booze 26 to 25 points for the win. Justin Liskai and Lily Missler shared the third podium spot with 20 points.

Missler got the broom out for the third feature turning 89 laps in four minutes for the win.  Lee Booze again finished second with John Warren notching a podium spot.

Get the broom out...Missler Sweeps Bday Night...

It was track owner Lee Booze's birthday, but it was Ryan Missler's night last Thursday at Redmen Raceway.  The veteran slot car (and 1:1) racer sweep all three features and with that took over the season-long points lead.

Ryan Missler won the races, but Lily gets the trophy!

Seven racers checked in for the Late Model, Modified and Sprint Car triple header.  Three features were on tap running 5 lanes at 45 seconds per lane.  Apparently Missler's LM racing skills transferred to the 1/64th scale just fine as he cruised to victory in the opening feature.  Finishing four laps in arrears in second was John Warren, with Lee Booze making the podium.
