Hot Action Overrides the Winter Cold at Redmen Raceway

The turn of the calendar to 2026 meant a generational cold spell, but the frigid weather outside hasn't cooled the fiery action on the track at Redmen Raceway.

The second half of the season kicked off on January 7 with the annual Birthday Bash, this year more appropriately named "Vintage Night".  Three classes were on tap including the Redmen Raceway debut of the North Coast H.O. inspired Tyco coupe class.  Frankie Scott maintained his stranglehold on the ARCA class cars picking up the win over Mark Gierhart and Lilian Missler in her first RR podium finish.  Lee Booze took the coupe main over Frankie and Ryan Missler.  Ryan capped off the night successfully handling the vintage Midgets topping Frankie and Lee.

It was a career night for Frankie Scott at RR!

An untimely snowstorm pushed the Chili (Dog) Bowl back one week and the changed also pushed the race onto the big oval for the annual event.  Racers were assigned heats via current points, and picking up wins are Ryan Missler, Lee Booze and Frankie Scott to no one's surprise.  The C Main was a crash-fest with the casual views losing track of the flip count.  Randy Dickman and Christian Booze emerged from the carnage to move on to the B.  After for more lanes Mark Gierhart took the win and secured the final starting spot in the lucrative main event.  In the end Lee Booze secured a three lap victory over Gierhart who made the most of his move up.  Missler and Scott trailed.

The Chili Bowl Main Winners got photo-bombed!

That sums up the action in the C Main!

Outside weather pushed the 1:1 scale NASCAR Clash to Wednesday February 4, coinciding with the 1:64 version on the Redmen Raceway bullring.  A two event format greeted the racers running the tipsy Tyco Diecast Cup cars.  Justin Liskai scored the first win as he found the best way around the tight oval. Christian Booze and Lee Booze filled out the first race podium.  The second event was split into two co-equal heats based on the first feature finish.  Ryan Missler came out the overall winner with a sizeable cushion over runner-up Randy Dickman.  Justin Liskai rounded out a big night at RR with a second podium finish.

Redmen Raceway will continued with the Diecast themed class this Wednesday night with the annual running of the ARCA 200 and Daytona 500 on the big oval. Racing at 7pm sharp!

Booze closes out fall season with Snowball Derby win...

The first half of the Redmen Raceway 25-26 season came to a close with the marathon running of the Snowball Derby.  Ten racers took to the track for a long 4x3 minute race for Tyco ASA Late Models.  After the exhausting, and crash filled main, track owner Lee Booze found himself on top of the podium.  Current points leader Ryan Missler finished second and RR stalwart Randy Dickman rounded out the podium.

Missler Doubles Up on Tiny Dirt in December Night

Redmen Raceway veteran Ryan Missler got the broom out this past Wednesday night sweeping both features on Tiny Dirt in December night.  He added an exclamation point to that victory by turning the quickest lap in qualifying with an electrifying 1.362 lap on the portable Redmen Raceway layout.

the night began with a new points paying qualifying format to set the lineups for two heats of racers on the small 3x6 MaxTrax oval.  Each racer had 30 seconds to turn as many laps as possible with the results paying 1/2 points and splitting the field into slow and fast heats.  Lee Booze sued his home field advantage to turn 20 laps in the time allowance to take the pole for the fast heat with Christian Booze a close second at 19.

In the first heat, Mark Gierhart powered away from the field tallying 208.5 laps (which would end up being good enough for fourth overall), besting Lilian Missler, Frankie Scott, Scarlet and Oliver Missler.

In the hotdog heat it was all Ryan Missler, as he put five laps on second place Lee Booze. Christian Booze came home third and Randy Dickman fourth (but 8th overall).

Ryan and Scarlet Missler celebrate in Victory Lane

Next up was a more traditional round robin race for Auto World Xtraction Emods.  Missler made that one look easy too again putting five laps on runner up Booze.  Mark Gierhart moved up one better from his Late Model finish to round out the podium.  Randy Dickman made amends from his late model race for fourth.  Christian Booze, Frankie Scott, Lilian, Scarlet and Oliver Missler rounded out the dizzied field of tiny track racers.

Its tight quarters on the Redmen Raceway Tiny Doty track...

Marshaling's a challenge when the laps come quickly!

Coming up this week is the annual Snowball Derby for Tyco ASA late models.  This race will also feature the qualifying format (30 seconds) with split field heats (2:30).  There will be some tired trigger fingers after this marathon!

Booze, Missler Take Mel Kenyon Night Plaques, Gierhart Falls from Points Perch...

Here come the mighty midgets!

Round four of the 2025-26 Redmen Raceway season saw a new class of cars enter the record books and shuffle at the top of the point standings.  Ten racers checked in to honor midget racing Mel Kenyon with the debut of the JAG slimline Vintage Midget cars taking center stage with the traditional AFX G+ Chili Midgets.  Track owner Lee Booze picked up the inaugural run of the old timey cars and backed it up with a narrow victory over title contender Ryan Missler in the modern midget class.  Missler closed out the night with a vintage midget win for himself.

Not only is Ryan a good racer, he's a good marshal too!
Lee and Ryan took home the Mel Kenyon night honors.

Missler, Booze Take Share Richmond Trilogy Finale Features

The third and final installment of the Tim Richmond Trilogy to start the 2025-26 racing season concluded last Wednesday with the running of the Tyco ARCA and Tyco non wing sprints.  Coming away winners were Ryan Missler in the stock car and track owner Lee Booze in the sprint car main.

Two familiar faces in victory lane...

Ten drivers signed in for round three of the season, and the popular Tyco ARCA cars delivered a spirited main event.  The racing was close the whole way but after the track shut off for the final time it was a fimiliar face in victory lane.  Ryan Missler put in the most consistent four lanes of racing to nab a three lap win over runner-up Frankie Scott.  Randy Dickman edged out Lee Booze for the bronze medal while Mark Gierhart shut birthday girl (and newly licensed driver!) Lilian Missler for fifth.  Christian Booze, Bryan Scott, Scarlet and Olliver Missler rounded out the field.

That's some serious focus by the drivers...

The Tyco non-wing sprint car feature proved to be a wild and woolly affair.  Even though no one was immune from the carnage, track owner Lee Booze dodged the most pile-ups to claim a seven win.  Frankie Scott doubled up his runner-up finishes on the night putting some distance between himself and third place finisher Mark Gierhart.  Ryan Missler held younger daughter Scarlet Missler for fifth.  Christian Booze, Bryan Scott, Randy Dickman, Lilian and Oliver Missler closed out the crash filled event.

They didn't look hard to drive sitting still...

Racing continues next Wednesday (November 19) with an all midget format honoring "The King of the Midgets" Mel Kenyon.  Doors open at 6:30 and racing at 7:00pm.

Missler Returns, Takes Two at Redmen Raceway

Ryan Missler was on vacation in Florida on opening night at Redmen Raceway; but last week he served notice he was back, sweeping night two of the Tim Richmond trilogy of events.

A decades high of 13 racers signed in for the second Tyco NASCAR night coupled with AFX Mega G+ Supermodifieds main event.  Missler ran away from the field in the 8 minute main event putting five laps (197) on runner up Mark Gierhart (192).  Finishing a close third was Frankie Scott (191), while Randy Dickman (179) and Lee Booze (178) rounded out the very distant top five.

Rookie Oliver, joined dad Ryan Missler in victory lane on 10-29.

After intermission, Missler find the going a bit tougher.  The multi-time track champion narrowly defeated Randy Dickman (114-113) in the AFX Supermodified main.  Christian Booze notched another top five on the season while Frankie Scott's good run continued with a top five run.  Grayson Liskai cracked the top five for the first time in his short career with 103 tally.

The top-heavy Tyco Cup cars require deep concentration.

Redmen Raceway will be back in action on Wednesday November 12 for the conclusion of the Tim Richmond series with the running of the Tyco ARCA cars and non-wing (USAC) sprint cars for a two division show.  Doors open at 6:30 with racing at 7:00pm!

Christian Booze, Bryan Scott Split 2025-26 Season Opener

The 2025-26 Redmen Raceway season campaign got off to a big start this past Wednesday night with nine racers picking up the controllers and hitting the lanes for a night of H.O. slot car racing.  When the dust settled Christian Booze took the extra distance Tyco Diecast Cup main and Bryan Scott notched his first ever Redmen Raceway win in the Missler Industries JAG Indy Car event.

With two segments over 50 laps, Christian Booze pulled away for the convincing win in the 4x120sec Tyco Diecast Cup main. Two of the RR original four, Mark Gierhart and Randy Dickman rounded out the podium.  Following them were Lee Booze, Justin Liskai, Bryan Scott, Frankie Scott, Grayson Liskai and Hudson Liskai (in his first ever slot car race!).

The racers shifted gears in a hurry going from the slowest RR class to the fastest running a 4x60sec main for the Missler Industries JAG Indy Cars.  Bryan Scott successfully navigated the crashfest out distancing the Booze family duo by one lap 135 to 134.  Mark Gierhart, Randy Dickman finished off the top five with 131 laps apiece.  Frankie was close behind in sixth with 129 while Grayson Liskai bested dad Justin with Hudson acquitting himself very well in the hard to drive speed demons in ninth.

Bryan and Christian shared the hardware (and Hoosier neck bands...).
